Tampa, Florida

If you like to get into the holiday spirit by spending a scary night out, you should go to Tampa. Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens is the largest to celebrate Halloween day event in the city. From the end of Sept to the end of October, for 19 days, the amusement park turns into a crazy place where people can scream their heads off.

Salem, Massachusetts

Salem is an important part of history, as it was the site of the famous witch trials in 1692. It also takes Halloween day very seriously. The town contains witch museums, reenactments of witch trials, and magic shops. When Halloween day comes around, people pull out all the stops. The 160-acre park is turned into a horror zone, with 13 original haunted mazes and attractions, scary shows, and more than 1,000 creepy creatures hiding in the fog, just waiting for a chance to scare you.

One of Savannah’s most popular Halloween events occurs in the Sorrel Weed House, the city’s most haunted house. There, people can take part in the epic, four-and-a-half-hour-long Ghost Hunting Event. Yes, there is ghost-hunting gear available. Londonderry, Ireland

Derry-Londonderry, a city in Ireland and the UK surrounded by walls, has been the site of the Celtic-based festival for 35 years. It is often called Europe’s biggest Halloween day event party city and the world’s best Halloween spot.

This year, the city’s beautiful waterfront will be turned into the Whispering Wharf, where search (storytellers) will tell the craziest stories. The City of Bones will have a spectacular aerial installation in the middle of the city, with daredevils doing acrobatics in the night sky. Their faces are painted with the Day of the Dead symbol “La Catrina,” and they wear flowers in their hair.

People walk through town, led by a loud brass band. They stop to dance, sing, and drink beer before moving on to the next village. Due to the significance of the celebrations, UNESCO included Dia de Muertos on its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2008.
